Principal's Bio

We are so glad that you are visiting our website.  The staff at Fairfax works diligently to keep you informed of announcements and events taking place at YOUR school.  Thank you for your interest and desire to stay informed about your child's education.  I encourage you to become active in PTO by helping with fund raisers, organizing or volunteering with events such as the Fall Festival, May Day, and attending PTO meetings throughout the school year.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email me or call to set up a meeting. 

A little about myself....

I was raised in the Langdale community and graduated from Valley High School in 1992.  I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Early Childhood. I then went to Troy State University and received a Masters and then an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. I am married to Buddy Groover and we have two boys who keep us very busy. I taught 10 years before becoming an administrator. I have been at Fairfax Elementary since November of 2006.  My family loves to camp and tailgate at Auburn football games!
